Cyber Cover
Cyber Cover is an insurance product designed to protect individuals from various cyber-related risks, including cyber fraud, retail fraud, identity theft, and more. We offer two coverage plans (Basic and Plus) so you can choose the one that best suits your needs.
Cyber Cover – Basic
Provides Cover for cyber fraud, retail fraud, and identity theft.
Cyber Cover – Plus
Includes all the Covers of Cyber Cover – Basic, plus restoration costs and extortion costs.
Both coverage options include 24/7 telephone support in English. Support in Greek is available Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Key Exclusions
- Physical damage or theft of your devices or property.
- Natural or physical perils such as fire, flood, or earthquakes.
- Bodily injury or mental distress.
- Legal liability, fines, or penalties.
- Business-related losses or costs.
- Digital currency (e.g. cryptocurrency of any kind).

Cyber Cover is a low-cost insurance plan. Depending on the selected Claim limits (maximum compensation amount), the annual premium is:
- Cyber Cover - Basic: €25 / year
- Cyber Cover - Plus: €35 / year

You can purchase Cyber Cover by visiting any Bank of Cyprus branch, where the Bank acts in its capacity as our tied insurance advisor, or by contacting one of our insurance intermediaries.
If you experience a cyber-attack and need to make a claim, here’s what you must do to ensure your cover remains valid:
- Call the Cyber Helpline immediately at 8000 8787 or +357 22 128 700 if you are calling from abroad (available 24/7 in English).
- Send written notice to cyber.claims@gic.bankofcyprus.com with full details of the incident within 15 days.
- Report any fraud to the police and your bank within 24 hours.
- Keep all evidence and cooperate fully with our experts.
